Julia
Tech
I'm Julia! I’ve been a veterinary technician at the clinic for 15 years now and have always had a passion for animals. My mother introduced me to dogs, cats, birds, turtles, and even a flying squirrel at a young age. I knew that I wanted to work with animals and somehow make a difference in their lives. My first job at a veterinary clinic was in North Carolina and later, I worked in Maryland for 10 years before moving to Texas. It was quite the change. My husband, Mike, myself, and my children, Matthew and Amber, have adjusted well. We have two dogs and two cats that were all disowned and left for one reason or another. They are all very happy, healthy, and completely spoiled rotten now. In my free time, I love gardening, movies, and sports. Go Panthers!
From the clinic:
Julia has the experience that no amount of reading and schooling can replace. She is one of our go-to’s for difficult patients. She has all the tricks and techniques for making difficult interactions with cranky patients pass quickly and smoothly. Julia also has extensive training and knowledge as a surgery technician, which she has been for many, many years. When a difficult surgery needs to happen, we make sure and have her on board.
